Classes

The Kids' Musical Theatre Production Program includes classes in acting, dance, and vocal music; through these technique courses under the tutelage of expert instructors in their fields, students  audition for, rehearse, and perform in a fully produced musical with all the bells and whistles of the pro’s! This program meets Saturdays from 12:30-3:30 (all students are called from 12:30-2:30 and the final hour is called on an as-needed basis).  Fall show dates are currently scheduled for January 30 - February 1, 2026, but are subject to change. The show titles for the 2025/26 school year are TBD. Tuition fees for our production classes are all-inclusive; costumes, props, scenery, body mics, etc. are all included in the cost of tuition and parents are NEVER asked to work or volunteer backstage. Other than tuition, parents need only supply shoes, undergarments, light make-up, hair pins, hairspray, etc. Tuition: $1500 (Payment plan: $250 at the time of enrollment and $250/month for five months)

The Teen Musical Theatre Production Program is available to students in grades 6-12. Students study acting, dance, and vocal music under the tutelage of professional directors, culminating in a fully produced musical in June. This program is scheduled like a professional theatre production, with rehearsals Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings, but students are only called on an as-needed basis. Students will have anywhere from 1-3 rehearsals per week, depending on their role and the needs of the production. This program is all-inclusive; costumes, props, scenery, and everything else is included and parents are NEVER asked to work or volunteer back stage.

The Young Thespians' Theatre Production Program is an acting and theatre program which culminates in a fully produced straight play (non-musical) with all the bells and whistles of the pro's! This program meets Thursdays from 4:00-6:00 pm. Show dates are currently scheduled for June 19-21, 2026, but are subject to change. The show titles for the 2025/26 school year are TBD. Tuition fees for our production classes are all-inclusive; costumes, props, scenery, body mics, etc. are all included in the cost of tuition and parents are NEVER asked to work or volunteer backstage. Other than tuition, parents need only supply shoes, undergarments, light make-up, hair pins, hairspray, etc. Tuition: $2750 (Payment plan: $250 at the time of enrollment and $250/month for ten months)

Unmasked is back! Students will learn acting, dance, and vocal technique and will audition for, rehearse, and perform in a fully produced musical with all the bells and whistles of the pros! The show title for the 2026/27 school year is TBD. Show dates are tentatively scheduled for June 19–20 (subject to change — confirmed dates coming within about a week). Tuition fees for our production classes are all-inclusive: costumes, props, scenery, body mics, etc. are all included, and parents are never asked to work or volunteer backstage. Parents need only supply shoes, undergarments, light make-up, hair pins, hairspray, etc. Tuition: $3,025 (Payment plan: $275 at enrollment + $275/month for 10 months)

This very exciting course will engage students in the basics of prop and scenic design! Students will learn about concept, artistic interpretation, visual art, and more! They will begin the year by engaging in a series of fun artistic hands-on projects that will teach them the basic elements of theatrical stage craft. As the year moves along, students will work with their instructor to actually helping design, build, and paint the props and scenery that will actually be used in our main stage shows!!! Students in this class will also have the opportunity to assist backstage during our main stage shows as members of run crew, props masters/mistresses, spotlight operators, and more!

Our acting technique class teaches students character creation and development, improvisation, script analysis and textual interpretation, visualization techniques, object work, creative movement, voice and diction, and much, much more!

Triple Promise Scene Study classes teach young actors script analysis, character development, identifying character objectives and emotional beats, active listening, reacting, playing intention and driving tactics, physicality, spontaneity, vulnerability, character exploration, emotional recall, sense memory, taking direction, rehearsal and refinement. Students will do in-depth character studies and perform a variety of monologues and scenes in collaboration with their peers.

Our dance technique class focuses on musical theater and jazz. Students will learn basic anatomy, proper posture and foot/body placement, rhythm, grace, and creative movement. Students will learn the canon of musical theatre technique, including sugars, ponies, jazz squares, Charlestons, chasse-ball-changes, bell kicks, pivot-turns, kick-ball-changes, shimmies, tap dance, and beyond!

This class will will help students develop their singing voices. Students will learn all the basics of vocal pedagogy, including basic anatomy and physiology of the voice, proper posture and breath support/control, good tone, projection, pitch-matching, scales, vocal care, and much more!

The Improvisation class teaches the basics of improv for actors. Students will learn improvisation techniques and perform short-form and long-form scenes. Improvisation teaches creative collaboration, quick thinking, character development, vocal technique, physicality and creative movement and creative risk-taking, while boosting student confidence and providing endless joy!

Students in this exciting class will write and direct their own plays! Students will learn the fundamentals of playwriting, including plot devisement, character development, and scene study, and will direct their own shows which will be produced and performed before live audiences!
